  1. I know that there’s a lot worse things you could be other than a red neck. I found that out when I lived abroad for several years and you’ll just have to trust me on this one, there are a hell-of-a-lot worse things you could be. I know something else if my car breaks down on the side of the road somebody will stop and help (and without me being worried about being rape, mugged or murdered and if there’s a death in your family you don’t worry about cooking for at least a week. Folks you didn’t even remembered you knew will bring platters of food to your house and then feed the family and guest after the services. You don’t get that from all you regular citizens. And don’t even get me started on what your missing by not boating down the river, with an ice cold beer and a couple good friends. I’m sad for you.

    1. You got that right! And we don’t cry when hurricanes come to the gulf. WE FIX OUR HOUSES TO BE HURRICANE READY AT ALL TIMES. Or we just buy a trailer and replace it with a FEMA one. Old timers have cinderblock houses.

  2. I don’t know if I’m glad or sad that my hometown Okeechobee Florida is number 1 we do have some so called rednecks here most of them are just dumb asses but I still love Okeechobee born and raised 51 years

  3. I can’t claim to be a redneck but I don’t dislike them. They don’t pretend to be something they’re not and you never see a redneck with sagging pants or a crooked hat.

  4. Let’s not confuse redneck with Florida cracker! I’m from Gulf Hammock Fl. my father born there my mother just up the road in Elsie Fl. Never heard of them? That part of the State is about as depressed as could be but few rednecks mostly Crackers. Hard working, resourceful, generous to a fault and willing to help anyone in need. I’m proud to be a native Florida Cracker but redneck is ok too.

  5. Hate to say this…LOVED the video…and as a redneck..Im totally in to it…but a couple of facts werent exactly correct…….one scene was advertising some Bass available in a lake…..with Mountains in the background..we dont have Mountains……….and Arcadia doesnt HAVE a Bass Pro Shop………

    1. Exactly, I have lived in Arcadia 8 years, IIRC the closest Bass Pro is located in Ft Myers. Love the Peace river, I have spent countless hours fossil hunting and camping. Shot a big hog with a .44 muzzleloading revolver from about 80 ft. The ball went thro both lungs. We ate good for a while.

  6. Ugh….. you can’t have this list without Crawfordville, Sopchoppy, or someplace in Wakulla county.

  7. Right on about Okeechobee and Clewiston.
But these backwoods/farm villages far surpass either of the mentioned cities with their rural expertise:
    Myakka City

  8. What about Panama City? I can’t believe the Redneck Riviera did not make the list. I had to give up riding my bike there because people in pickup trucks (what else?) kept hollering at me, cussing me, and throwing beer bottles at me! I am not making this up. There is just something about the sight of someone on a bike that sets these types off, just like w/ dogs. I left that place just as fast as I could for Daytona Beach, which was not a heck of a lot better I tell you.

  9. I just moved North Port, Florida. This ‘Liberal’ area, is creeping me out 😵 .. I came from the mountains of Pennsylvania. But I would like to stay here, for the beaches.
    But I love ‘Redneck/
    Crackerland’ .Any suggestions, y’all?!🤠
