So far, in one year and 3 rental situations were scams. This is a town where the wealthy exploit the working class. In 2019... who pays $8.50 an hour-.... Holiday Inn Express does, not to mention they sell rooms without heat, holes in the ceiling, mold in 80% of the room's bathrooms, etc. Really substandard. Seems most of the town is run by a couple of handful of wealthy folks. Rent here is on the same price as Dallas yet almost ALL working-class jobs pay $10 hr or less. The Walmart here has absolutely the rudest people at any Walmart I've ever been to. This is absolutely a town of the working poor. There is a lot of money in this town, mostly well-to-do retirees. Shame on all of them for paying the same as what illegal aliens earn. Don't come hear with any intelligence or education and not have a trust fund. You won't make it. I'm 62 with a background in aerospace and weapons systems and I had to take a job in a brickyard, literally picking up and stacking bricks by hand. Bottom line... don't come hear without substantial money.

This is M**h-Alley!!!!! The drug problem here is way beyond anything in Dallas percentage wise. There is no culture unless you're one of the wealthy. Most people here are grossly obese or m**h-head skinny, there is no inbetween. The only good thing here is the scenery, east Texas is nice in that regard.
