Many people in Texas have never heard of it, and it's also never won an outright state football championship, but it has been mentioned in the national news recently.

Brady, Texas has the distinction of having local water that has levels of radium that are NINE TIMES HIGHER than the acceptable EPA standards. Go to the local park, and you are lucky to see a squirrel or hear a bird sing. The national attention came in January of this year, but still no word on any plans to eliminate this cancer-causing water.

Also, the contaminated water has been known by Texas politicians for at least over a decade. In 2010, our governor Rick Perry was investigated for covering up the reports on the findings in Brady. Imagine our surprise when the investigation went nowhere.
