Take my hometown of Douglas, Arizona, out of all of the beautiful, old and stately homes in town, you used the street closest to the border, in an old part of town, never bothering to show the history and beauty of the town.
It is an old copper town which hit a recession when Phelps Dodge closed the smelter.
Holbrook, Winslow and Show Low are mountain towns that get and rely on tourism in the summer, hundreds of people enjoy the areas for camping, fishing and enjoying the sites!
Before I close, I would also like to tell you that as a retired business owner in Casa Grande, I have met people from around the globe. Australia, Wales, England, Belgium, just to name a few who told me Arizona is one of the most beautiful states they have seen.
Every city/town falls on bad times due to recession, economy, etc., and kudos to the towns which citizens and families still call home!
