I live on a hobby farm in Florida- if you have always wanted to do that and it is your idea of 'fun' plant city florida is the place to be- super boring but the real estate is cheap and the weather is amazingly nice. Things grow like crazy here.

I lived in sebring florida before this. There are a lot of decent homes for around 50,000.

The college in Avon park just north of there is really good for a small school. There are more expensive houses like 300-500,000 on the main lake there that are mansions.

Not a lot of work there but has great potential. A lot of places in florida are a huge secret as to how nice they are in general - it just depends what you appreciate.

We made money on the house we sold in sebring- sold it for almost double what we bought it for after basic improvements. If you have some construction skills florida is still wide open if you have enough to get an affordable house and work your way up.
