when we lived in Dolton in the 60's and 70's it was a peaceful law abiding town made up of young families anxious to make life better for their kids. The streets were tree lined and homey. Neighbors helped each other and the schools were great. unfortunately now it is the number one crime soot of the South side of Chicago. I loved that town.

the train station to get to the Loop was walking distance. The Library was up town and was added on to in this time frame. The churches were full and friendly. My favorite thing was riding my bike with my kids to Dolton Park for Tennis lessons. No bad things at that time

Dolton Illinois in the 60's and 70's was a great place to raise kids. No crime, lots of young upper mobile families, great schools and Churches galore. I love Dolton. In the 90's the area changed and now leads the south subs in crime and murders. So sad.

The Library the park and the people made it a great place. Close to transportation and very walk able. Loved riding my bike to the store and to tennis lessons.
