2 Reviews & Comments About Lee's Summit
The schools here are great. We moved to the area because of the good public schools. There really is a small town feel, and everyone is very friendly. There is great diversity here as well. Lee's Summit is close to Kansas City, so there are the advantages of living in a large city without the congestion and crime. Many companies are based in the Kansas City area. Housing prices are generally fairly low compared to the rest of the country.
Downtown is quaint with many mom and pop shops and festivals held throughout the year. There are many extra curricular programs for kids. There are a lot of parks, and tons of nature trails, including three lakes and two state parks.
Lee's Summit is a great midwestern suburb of Kansas City. It is a very large suburb measured in total acres, business and restaurant offerings and population. Lee's Summit is a well educated and safe suburb.
As a Kansas City suburb, you will find many KC Chiefs football fans and KC Royals baseball fans. Lots of weather variations in this midwestern town. Visitors will experience humidity in the summer, beautiful fall leaves, couple snow falls during the winter, and thunder storms in the spring.
