Brooklyn Park is one of those suburbs that I always knew coming up as a child growing up in Brooklyn Center. But for me Brooklyn Park wasn't as large as it is now. Growing up in the 70's 1980s most of Brooklyn Park didn't Go-no-further than 85th Avenue N, unless you lived along West River road going towards the C**n Rapids Dam. The area I live in is near the C**n Rapids dam in Brooklyn Park. The area has a very country feel in the summertime with the deer and some wild life that"s still in the area. I'm very glad that we purchased a home in 2016 in the area we live in which is around West River rd and 101st lane North. What also makes my area great in Brooklyn Park is that I'm near Champlin, Maple Grove and C**n Rapids area for Shopping. The only downfall that I find about this area is I feel there is a little bit of stereotyping because there's not a whole lot of African Americans in this area of Brooklyn Park compared to south of 85th Ave North. I tend to get stares sometimes from other people but that doesn't matter I still love Brooklyn Park and never will live anywhere else.

What stands out for Brooklyn Park is the C**n Rapids Dam area. What stands out negative is some residents that seem to act somewhat prejudice of people of color like their afraid that the area is going to get bad with crime because they see more African Americans in the area.
