Some family members of mine were shot at, had their bushes set on fire, and a flag burned on their car because they put a tiny rainbow flag out when gay marriage became legal.

C*****g is infamous for its very whiteness, conservatism, and hatred towards Blacks.

Assume it is not LGBTQ friendly, even at the police and fire station. Schools are infamous for discrimination against lgbt youth, educators, and parents. Too many transyouth leave the area for Atlanta inside the 285 loop.
