I visited fallon nv. The dog groomer strongly led me to believe they do not want out of state residents moving into their litle piece of heaven… later i visited yerrington and will never ever go back. Females hate other females because their man might cheat i hear. Scary scary nightmare… Beautiful country though…worth the visit so pretty!
Lakes.. mountain hikes…red rock…fishing spots…casinos…all u can eat sushi.

Crime I would say is about the same as everywhere else, it happens everywhere. So far the school my kids have gone to have been good, though Nevada is rated low on education. I would recommend las vegas.
I would say my favorite places to go is to the mountains when it snows or even just to hike. The lake is also a good option. The casinos are just a small part of vegas. I would just say to be careful who you talk to here. You just never know.

Loads of schools both public and private, with more in the works. Big events year-round, averaging one biggie per month, ranging from hot air balloon races, rodeo, air races, food fests, nearby Burning Man, parades for numerous reasons, a growing art scene,….there’s just so much going on lately. Plus the casinos. All this and a decent sized river coursing downtown that hosts kayak contests. A construction boom is in progress.
Watch out for the poorly maintained roads, impatient tail riding drivers, and extreme temperatures; summer is very hot and winter is bone chilling cold with a lot of snow possible. Rain, hail, high winds, drought, avalanches flooding, wildfires, it has it all.
The sheer number of special events and stuff to do in a city this size is pretty amazing.

Methodology: How do you determine which city is best for singles in Nevada anyways?
To give you the places in Nevada which are best for singles to find one another, we used Saturday Night Science to look at a handful of metrics. Of course, we want to measure the type of people who live in each city and make some assumptions about what single people like.
So we researched the internet for a database that contains all that information.
We threw a lot of criteria at this one to get the best, most complete results possible. Using the 2020-2024 American Community Survey Census data produced for the state of Nevada, we looked at every single city in the state. We paid particular attention to:
- Population density
- % of population that’s male vs. female (closer to a 50-50 ratio is better)
- % of households with kids
- Median age
- Number of unmarried people in each city
We then gave each city a “Singles Score.”
The higher the score, the better the city is for singles to find one another. We also limited our results to cities with over 1,000 people. For Nevada, that meant a total of 17 cities.
We updated this article for 2026. This is our eleventh time ranking the best cities for singles in Nevada.
Read on to see why Fallon is the talk of the town while Wells is probably a bit on the bland side.
