Americans are really good at helping one another. We’re also really good at turning the other way when we see a problem.

There are parts of Philadelphia, like the Kensington neighborhood, where heroin use has taken over and simply won’t let go of its grip. One Philadelphia woman has taken it upon herself to become the mother to heroin addicts here, in order to help them get back to normal.
Philadelphia needs more ‘moms’ like this. She’s not rich, nor does she have any special powers. She just cares and is doing more than her part to help Philadelphia through another tough time.
