  1. This is B.S. They didn’t compare it to any other states? I love it here in WV and wouldn’t change it for nothing. All states have good and bad things.

  2. The state of West Virginia is shaped like the palm of your right hand. Bend your pointer finger half way down and your ring finger and pinkie all the way down. Bluefield and Princeton are at the outer heel of your hand. Beckley is where your life line begins to curve around your thumb. So you always know where you are, because God put a map in palm. If you are not from West Virginia…. turn your palm over.

    1. Hell yeah! Im in Princeton. May not be the greatest place on Earth, but it’s home and I’m raising my family here!

  3. So happy to get out, those that believe it isn’t a train wreck is most of why its so bad!! The grass is way Greener on the other side!! Education system is a nightmare and leaves kids with no hope or desire to work hard, after all they will still get a crap job and likely bury 3 friends to herion

  4. West Virginia, I’ve seen worse in South central Pennsylvania. Even rougher ,tougher, and just more hillbilly. So don’t let them paint that bad of a picture for the state. It’s just another gorgeous part of Appalachia. Take it or leave it, it is what it is, and deer hunting is a big thing

  5. There is crime, unemployment, drugs, murders in every state. I was born here in McDowell and live close to Welch, Beckley, Bluefield and Princeton. I am offended by your study since you didn’t compare it to say Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, just to name a few. All you rich people that have time and money to conduct these studies, search for solutions. We have not had any mass school shootings, church shootings, riots, and many are GOD fearing people and pray for people who just criticize like you. GOD BLESS Pray you are saved.
