    1. Or Cove but those are considered towns not cities. We have just enough population to make us a city. Therfore, I feel Waldron would have us beat if it weren’t for the fact of them looking at the bar factor.

  1. Having lived in Arkansas for 40 some odd years I’d have to say you were probably right on a lot of these top ten redneck town. College towns aren’t all that redneck though. They bring in students and staff from other states and other countries. The most redneck towns don’t have particularly fluid populations. Everybody knows everybody’s grandmother. Generations of family live there and new people have a hard time gaining trust and being accepted. College towns have more transient ever changing populations bringing in new ideas and new ways of looking at things.
Clarksville has a small university with a lot of foreign students and isn’t far from Russellville with its larger school. It’s on I-40 and a few schools in the area. It’s not that redneck.
Mountain Home has a two year university but they also have a huge number of northerners living there. I used to work in that town some and was always meeting people from Chicago who had sold their expensive homes and bought more for far less and they were enjoying the natural beauty, making everything more expensive and bringing more people and some different ways of thinking and doing things.
There are rednecks everywhere in this state though, and Mena or one of the little towns around it may be the most redneck town. I have extended family there and I make every excuse I can to avoid going there. I just know it’s going to rub off on me and I’ll be wearing a ball cap and a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and a pack of generic smokes in the front pocket driving around in with rebel flags flying from my pickup truck complaining about Obama when I spend the last of my SSI check on a twelve pack of beer.

    1. Idiot youhaveno idea bout the south and red neck. Stay up north whete u belong. We don’t want you you in the south. Long live the good ole boys and gals. REDNECKS!!!

      1. Please, for the love of God above and all that is holy, USE spellcheck or take the time to proofread OR EVEN DO BOTH before hitting send. When you post a response like yours all you do is further reinforce the “uneducated and backwards” image of rednecks. Do us all a favor and stop.

  2. Lame and not funny. I believe the authors attempt to make Arkansas look stupid backfired. You might want to seriously consider another line of work. I hear the tobacco store is hiring.

  3. I’ve lived in Mena most my life & it’s been a dry county as far back as I can remember so I don’t know where they came up with ” 1st for bars”. There are some are cross the Stateline in Oklahoma but shouldn’t count because that is in another state. Get your facts straight.

  4. Someone don’t know what they are talking about at all!! If u are from Arkansas u know most of us are rednecks. 4- wheeler and mud the perfect mix.. But as far as the towns he named he has no clue!! I love being my redneck hick self and wouldn’t change it.

  5. Now how does Piggot rank 13th for bars and 5th for Wal-Marts?
Piggott is in a dry county, Clay County, so there are not any bars at all there. Also, there is not a single Wal-Mart there. The closest one is located in Kennett, MO.
Whoever put this video out there did not do their research.

  6. I bet…. this idiot doesn’t live in Arkansas. And one of our southern women broke his heart!! To bad he didn’t grow up here himself. Maybe other parts would be bigger than his mouth!

  7. Actually mena has two private bars the elks and the eagles also a couple of restaurants that have a private liquor license

  8. I from Clinton don’t forget in Clinton we also have the National Chuckwagon Races. Red necks come down from all over the world to drink and race our horse drawn wagons. It’s about a two week ordeal ending on Labor Day weekend. Come on down you don’t have to own a wagon to spectate.
