  1. I think you are using the prison population in your assessment. You may want to check your facts.

  2. EHHHHHHHH????? Y’all forgot Wellsville, NY from the most redneck county in WNY, Allegany Co. And don’t forget the Genesee River, the skidmark that goes right down the middle. Oh, and for something to do, or to even visit the closest Walfart, ya gotta’ goto Hornell, or even the bigger schytt hole of Olean. And, Wellsville, NY is just 10 miles north of the border with Pennsyl-tucky. No, not Pennsylvania, but Pennsyl-tucky. Go there, and find out why. Oh!!! And don’t forget to search for that Youtube VID of The Shopping Carts Of Wellsville, NY! That VID in itself should be the very reason that Wellsville, NY should be #1 on your Redneck NY State list. Don’t forget to bring a CB radio with ya!

    1. I’m from Canisteo and think it’s a toss up between Wellsville and Addison. Question: Why is Howard everywhere?

  3. Offensive. You say redneck, I say not city slobs. We know where are food comes from, live close to the land and do not take it for granted. Come to think of it, keep calling us rednecks, so you don’t move here.

  4. I do have to say, one big things about rural NYS that I miss is the geography. NY is indeed a very scenic state, but you can’t tell that to anyone who’s never been there, except the truckers. They get it! The rest of the world believes that NY is all NYC, concrete and pavements. Despite my satires about the people, the taxes, the laws, and those brutal winters, living and working in WNY most of my life taught me not to be a flatlander. Unfortunately, that alone was not enough reason to keep me up there.

  5. im from Millport Ny….my daddy was a Redneck…. and i’m sorry but not all Rednecks are uneducated…I for 1 have a college education….n they do happen to bust their butts to make a living n support their families….. I’m Proud to call myself a Redneck Country Girl…..atleast I’m not a Fkn City Snob….

  6. I have grown up my whole life in a large Rochester, N.Y. suburb, and I’d say the town I grew up in was very upper middle class (housing developments, homes look big, modern, and well kept, shopping mall, lots of stores and restaurants outside of the mall, good public school system). However, my family owns a vacation cabin up in Parishville, N.Y., and I can say that I think that area is pretty redneck. You should have added Parishville, Colton, or South Colton.

  7. Maybe Malone use to be a Red Neck town, But now it is getting to be a Ghost Town. You could go streaking down Main St at night and no one would know you went by. Except the GHOST.
But this place is the place I call HOME.

  8. We dont even have any dive bars left lol. Lucky we even have a Walmart the way the stores have been closing around here. Malone isnt redneck. Not sure if the person that made this video has actually ever been here. Malone is a pretty quiet laid back town surrounded by the beautiful adirondacks.
