Gone, but not forgotten.
Everyone went to Geauga Lake at some point in their lives if they grew up in northern Ohio. I know I can remember lots of fun moments running around the park with my friends, standing in lines in the summer, and being terrified when Raging Wolf Bobs roller coaster first opened.
The place has gone through several transformations since it first opened in 1887. After it was renamed Six Flags Ohio, it became Cedar Fair for a few years, before being closed permanently in 2007. All that remains open is the Geauga Lake’s Wildwater Kingdom. Lots of efforts to save this amazing amusement park failed, and now, sadly, the land is up for sale.
From above, we see the remains of what was once a national treasure. Can you spot any places that you remember?
